Environmental Initiatives

Virginia Green logo

Preserving the environment so that future generations may learn from our history is important to us. Colonial Williamsburg is pleased to participate in the Virginia Green Lodging and the Virginia Green Restaurant statewide environmental protection programs.

Recycling

Colonial Williamsburg encourages recycling in the Historic Area and in our modern facilities by providing well-marked recycling receptacles. In addition, we provide a recycling center for our employees. The weekly map and program guide This Week follows the FSC Mixed Sources guidelines and is printed using controlled wood standards and recycled fiber.
