Lodging and Dining

Brick House Tavern

The cost of lodging (double occupancy, typically twin beds)* is included in the Institute fee. You will be provided accommodations in the Colonial Houses within the Historic Area. Check-in is at the Orrell House in front of the Williamsburg Inn.

Please note:

  • For an additional charge of $500, private rooms may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests must be made and paid for during online registration.
  • Due to the nature of the accommodations, we will be unable to confirm your rooming assignment until the day you arrive.

Incidental Charges

You are responsible for paying for all incidental charges made to your room including local and long distance telephone calls. For your convenience, a credit card imprint will be made at check-in to cover telephone and other incidental charges. Cellular connections within the Historic Area may be unreliable, depending upon your provider.

You must return your key to the Inn registration desk the morning you depart. A $10 lost key fee will be charged for keys not returned.

Most meals (and their gratuities) are included in your Institute fee. There are three dinners "on own" on free evenings. Breakfasts, lunches, and all of the other dinners will be provided in Colonial Williamsburg restaurants or nearby establishments.
