Patriotic and Loyalist song lyrics, published in single-sheet broadsides or in newspapers, were meant to be sung to familiar tunes. They were a popular way of commemorating, condemning, and satirizing the events surrounding the American Revolution. Join members of The Governor’s Musick of Colonial Williamsburg to hear some of these songs and their Revolutionary variations.
