Welcome

Colin CampbellThank you for your interest in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. I'm Colin Campbell, and I have the privilege to be Colonial Williamsburg's president.

Colonial Williamsburg is an internationally recognized family vacation destination, a resort, and an interactive education in 18th-century life and culture. It's dining in the colonial taverns, watching trades people at their crafts, and marching with the Fifes and Drums Corps. It's a carriage ride, a day on the golf course, a stroll through the gardens, a visit to the folk and decorative arts museums, and an afternoon in the Revolutionary City. Colonial Williamsburg is a seamless adventure in educational recreation in a setting where subjects became citizens and a revolution changed the world.

Colonial Williamsburg's Historic Area allows guests to be part of the story as they walk in the paths of the people whose journeys led to the idea of America - George Washington, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, and so many others. While guests expect to be transported back in time, they also expect the very best in dining, lodging and recreation. To deliver on those expectations requires a staff of professionals dedicated to superior performance.

Our employees bring with them valuable education and experience in a wide array of disciplines including 18th century trades, 21st century engineering and mechanical trades, culinary arts, museum management, golf, tennis, information technology, finance, fund raising, human resources, research, library services, hotel and dining service and management, safety and security, landscaping, archaeology, and many others. They also bring a commitment to provide excellent guest service regardless of the positions they hold.

While our organization is diverse, we work as one Foundation to meet and exceed the expectations of our guests. You will see opportunities to be part of the Colonial Williamsburg story on this website. I encourage you to review the various positions and consider how your skills and abilities might assist us in achieving our mission, "that the future may learn from the past."
