The Campaign for History and Citizenship
Bob and Marion Wilson
President Colin Campbell presents the Churchill Bell – Colonial Williamsburg’s most prestigious award – to Bob and Marion Wilson, honoring their 30 years of unstinting dedication, service and support of the Foundation.
The Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute launched in 1989 thanks to the vision and generosity of Bob and Marion Wilson of California. Ever since, the Wilsons and a group of other committed donors have worked tirelessly to expand the list of benefactors for this immersive, hands-on program. The unique training that, to-date, more than 7,700 educators have received at the Institute is reinvigorating their teaching of American history and broadening their students’ very concept of America.
