Williamsburg Lodge and Williamsburg Inn offer guests enticing choices for Restaurant Week 2010

The Williamsburg Lodge and Williamsburg Inn invite guests to taste the irresistible selections of Executive Chef Rhys Lewis and Chef Travis Brust in the gracious surroundings of the Williamsburg Lodge Restaurant and the Williamsburg Inn Terrace Room during Williamsburg Restaurant Week 2010.

For only $10.10 at the Williamsburg Lodge, Chef Rhys serves roasted onion and mushroom soup and rosemary goat cheese crouton, accompanied by a Virginia panini – fennel-roasted pork loin, provolone cheese, baby spinach and basil mayonnaise.

For only $30.10, the three-course dinner begins with herb-roasted goat cheese, warm tomato confit and Sarvecchio French bread croutons, followed by an entree of flash-grilled hangar steak, potatoes Savoyard, wilted spinach, roasted button mushrooms and tarragon butter. Dessert is the ultra creamy apple tart tatin with cider caramel sauce and orange mascarpone crema.

At the Williamsburg Inn, Chef Brust’s tempting three-course $30.10 dinner begins with a salad of lettuce mélange, hearts of palm, artichoke, oven-dried tomato and Regency dressing. Guests choose an entrée of either mustard seed-encrusted Atlantic salmon or pan-roasted Ashley Farms chicken breast, accompanied by roasted vegetable risotto and French beans with classic lemon beurre blanc. Governor’s chocolate torte with raspberry coulis finishes the meal.

Dining reservations can be made by calling 1-800 HISTORY or 757-229-2141. Restaurant Week is sponsored by the Williamsburg Area Restaurant Association, with participating restaurants serving lunch for $10.10 and dinner for $30.10 from Jan. 24 – 31.
