Sneak a Peek at New Holiday Products at WILLIAMSBURG Celebrations

Get a sneak peek at a new line of holiday products during open house events on Sept. 14-15 at WILLIAMSBURG Celebrations, 110A S. Henry St. in the Henry Street Shops of Merchants Square.

On Friday, doors open early at 8 a.m. on both days. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served until 9:30 a.m. on Friday. There will be how-to demonstrations throughout Friday and Saturday.

Sept. 14

  • Holiday Floral Arrangements for Small Spaces. Peggy Lankford, Colonial Williamsburg floral services designer, shows how decorating with traditional flower brick and five-finger vase provide ideal solutions to small, narrow spaces.
  • Gingerbread Boys and Girls. Colonial Williamsburg pastry chef Michelle Brown teaches how to make and decorate this classic holiday treat.
  • Making Candles Work for Your Arrangements. Hunter Curry, Colonial Williamsburg floral services designer, demonstrates how to use the candle o’dapter, an oasis product, plus how to incorporate candlesticks to create an arrangement that works for any special occasion.
  • Making Your Lantern a Centerpiece. Owen Sharman, Colonial Williamsburg visual merchandising manager, takes a traditional WILLIAMSBURG lantern and creates an arrangement that makes a table or sideboard shine through the holidays.

    Sept. 15

  • Holiday Bread Making. Scott Watson, Williamsburg Inn executive sous chef, shares the steps and secrets to making delicious holiday bread.
  • Holiday Decorating with Faux Florals. Matt Wood, Winward Silks, creates an everlasting look for the holiday season with faux florals he has designed.
  • American Heritage Truffle Tart. Rodney Diehl, Colonial Williamsburg pastry chef, uses American Heritage chocolate products to make a mouth-watering holiday dessert.
  • Tree Decorating. Carol Gibbs, Colonial Williamsburg visual merchandiser, gives a new twist on an old tradition with WILLIAMSBURG ornaments.
