Colonial Williamsburg Partners with Richmond International Raceway to Offer All-American Experiences
Colonial Williamsburg today announces a partnership with Richmond International Raceway, inviting NASCAR fans to extend their race experience by visiting and staying in the Revolutionary City – just a short drive from Richmond.
During the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races held in Richmond in April and September, NASCAR fans can enjoy a stay at one of the official Colonial Williamsburg hotels, a short walk from the Revolutionary City’s engaging programming and historic taverns, and steps away from the various Southern dining options spanning delicious barbecue at Huzzah! BBQ Grille, American favorites at Traditions.
“Colonial Williamsburg’s partnership with Richmond International Raceway is a natural for Virginia tourism,” Director of Consumer Strategy and Sales for Colonial Williamsburg Skip Ferebee said. “NASCAR is a truly American sport, and Colonial Williamsburg is a center for American history and citizenship – an all-American destination for families who want to have fun and learn some history along the way.”
Longtime NASCAR fan and Colonial Williamsburg trustee Forrest Mars inspired the partnership, with his passion for racing and for the Revolutionary City. Colonial Williamsburg will be unveiling further details of the partnership in the upcoming months.
