“History Meets Horsepower” in September when Colonial Williamsburg and Mars Chocolate North America bring the excitement of NASCAR® to the Revolutionary City and partner with Richmond International Raceway for a series of events in Williamsburg and Richmond.

At noon on Sept. 5, Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 18 M&M’S® Toyota Camry in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™, will make a pit stop in the Revolutionary City to experience Colonial Williamsburg’s engaging programming and culinary traditions and to meet with visitors. The event will feature media interview opportunities, a meet and greet with fans in Merchants Square, carriage ride, colonial chocolate history demonstrations by American Heritage Chocolate, and an exploration of the Revolutionary City with Kyle Busch and his wife, Samantha Busch.

On September 7, 2013, Colonial Williamsburg’s talented culinary team, led by Chef Rhys Lewis and Historic Foodways’ Frank Clark, will join Busch at Richmond International Raceway to conduct cooking demonstrations and American Heritage Chocolate tastings before the Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Launched this spring, Colonial Williamsburg’s partnership with Richmond International Raceway is designed to entice NASCAR fans to enhance their race weekend experience with the rich history of Colonial Williamsburg and the rich taste of Mars Chocolate North America’s American Heritage Chocolate. Through its continued partnership with American Heritage Chocolate, Colonial Williamsburg seeks to offer its guests a unique and historical take on an 18th-century inspired line of real chocolate products. A surprising yet perfect match, this three-way collaboration is set to become a strong asset for Virginia tourism, drawing new audiences to two of the state’s main attractions.
