Colonial Williamsburg's Golden Horseshoe Golf Club Offers Some Super Bowl Pre-Game Fun

On February 2, the Super Bowl doesn’t kick off until 6:25 p.m. Golfers could sit around all afternoon listening to endless televised banter and filling up on salty snacks. Or, they could enjoy a sporting adventure of their own, teeing it up in the first Golden Horseshoe Gridiron Scramble.

The four-person captain’s choice event on the Rees Jones-designed Green Course – rated one of the top 10 public courses in Virginia by golf.com – tees off with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Cost of the Gridiron Scramble is $75 and includes plenty of time for a relaxed round, drink ticket and lunch. Also covered are: green fees, cart fees, range balls, and post-tournament scoring.

All players who wear NFL team attire – including team jerseys – will be entered in a prize drawing. Advanced reservations are required and may be made by contacting Joe Wirth at (757) 220-7472 or jwirth@cwf.org.

When the golf ends, there will still be plenty of time to get back to the sportscaster banter, the salty snacks and Super Bowl XLVIII.
