The holiday tree in all its finery reveals an assortment of elegant toile delftware ornaments made by Foreign Advisory and based on 18th-century patterns in the Colonial Williamsburg ceramics collection. Each ball is hand painted and transfer decorated, measures 2¾ inches in diameter and comes in an individual gift box with a decorative ribbon for hanging. Sets of three in blue, red or green toile retail for $45.

The new Cheers Mini-Tankard, one of a series of miniature silver-plated ornaments made by Lenox for the Kirk Stieff WILLIAMSBURG line, is based on an 18th-century British pewter mug and will inspire many to “lift a glass” in honor of the season. Joining it is a silver-plated Rooster ornament, based on a whimsical weathervane in Colonial Williamsburg’s Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, and a silver-and-gold Pineapple ornament, long recognized as a symbol of hospitality and present throughout the Colonial Williamsburg collections in antique prints, ceramics and even architecture.
