Garden Themes Highlight New WILLIAMSBURG® Introductions at Winter Gift Markets in New York, Atlanta

Garden themes blossom early for new WILLIAMSBURG® products at the winter gift markets in Atlanta (Jan. 12-20) and New York (Jan. 29 – Feb. 4) as WILLIAMSBURG licensees debut new products and line extensions -- fresh from the 18th century.

Achla Designs offers an eclectic assortment of garden items ranging from a garden pavilion to a mini-gazebo. The full-size Nelson Gazebo is inspired by a wooden garden pavilion alongside the Nelson-Galt house in Colonial Williamsburg’s Historic Area and features rococo fretwork and a dramatic “S” curve roof line. The mini-gazebo and its versatility is a gardener’s delight, affording possibilities as a bird feeder, a candle lantern, a floral container or a festive table centerpiece.

Achla’s WILLIAMSBURG collection moves in a new direction with the addition of the Market Square seating grouping featuring a curvilinear metal bench and coordinating tables. Among other new items in the collection are pineapple-themed products, two candle-style lanterns, a plant stand and a seasoned beech wood garden cart.

Virginia Metalcrafters expands its immensely popular collection of WILLIAMSBURG garden accessories with the addition of a cast aluminum door mat and decorative planter box, decorated with the traditional symbol for hospitality, the pineapple. The ensemble is available in a hand-applied verdigris finish or weathered iron, a new finish also offered as an optional finish on eight existing WILLIAMSBURG garden accessories including a bird bath and stand, armillary, doorstop and several WILLIAMSBURG garden animals.

The Lang Companies showcase the new Language of the GardenTM collection of boxes and gifts that build on 2004’s Images of NatureTM collection. Inspired by Colonial Williamsburg’s bountiful array of botanical illustrations, the collections include stacking boxes; round hat boxes; jewelry, ring and trinket boxes; recipe books; journals; photo albums; mugs; candles and stationery.

Stevens Linen brings the gardens of Colonial Williamsburg indoors with the launch of three new kitchen linen patterns: Tulip, Magnolia and Potted Herbs. Tulip is a contemporary design in yellow and soft sage with vibrant, red striped tulips. Magnolia re-colors the popular Botanica design in soft yellow and sage to complement colors found in today’s homes. Potted Herbs features flowering herbs in fresh-from-the-18th-century colors with terracotta pots and picket fence straight from the outdoor gardens of Colonial Williamsburg.

C&F Enterprises launches Wakefield, a new bedding and table linen collection, featuring complete ensembles for the bed – reversible quilts, striped bed skirts, standard and Euro shams, reversible throws and two complementary embroidered silk pillows – along with a hooked rug, shower curtain and window coverings to coordinate in the bedroom or bath. New dining room products include reversible runners and placemats, napkins and chair pads -- all beautifully quilted.

India Overseas debuts their new American Spirit collection, a wonderful mix of checks, stripes and plaids from the 18th century in traditional, as well as new trend-forward, colors on placemats and napkins that invite mix-and-match to create an interesting and vibrant table setting.
