11th Annual Gala in the Galleries Celebrates 18th-Century Fiddle Music from Around the World

Colonial Williamsburg’s 11th Annual Gala in the Galleries will feature “Fiddlin’ Frenzy,” a celebration of fiddle music from 18th-century tavern entertainment to folk music from around the world. Gala in the Galleries takes place Saturday, Oct. 25 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum with two performances of “Fiddlin’ Frenzy” at 7 and 8:30 p.m. in the museum’s Hennage Auditorium.

Enjoy a lively concert by the renowned musicians from Colonial Williamsburg’s taverns – John Turner, Dean Shostak, David Gardener, Cliff Williams, Kelly Kennedy, Cassie Smith-Christmas, Lance Pedigo and Jenny Edenborn. Following the concert, guests are invited to sample an array of desserts from the taverns of Colonial Williamsburg. Throughout the evening, the museum will be open for guests to view all current exhibitions in the galleries with docents on hand to answer any questions.

General admission is $22, Good Neighbors admission is $18 and Freedom Pass holders pay $17. Tickets can be purchased at any Colonial Williamsburg ticket location or by calling toll-free (800) HISTORY. For more information, call (757) 220-7984.

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s award winning DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum, supported by the DeWitt Wallace Fund for Colonial Williamsburg, displays the foundation's exceptional collection of English and American decorative arts. Entered through the reconstructed Public Hospital of 1773, the museum is on Francis Street near Merchants Square and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is included in any Colonial Williamsburg admission ticket or by separate one-day or annual museums ticket.
