New senior sales manager joins CW's Conference Sales team
Matt Polansky joins Colonial Williamsburg’s Conference Sales team as senior sales manager. In this position, he will represent the hotel properties in the Virginia market with an emphasis on booking association and corporate conference business.
"We're thrilled to have Matt on our team,” said Perry Goodbar, vice president of Hospitality Sales and Business Development. “His extensive experience and professionalism are a great fit with our needs in the Virginia market, which is one of our top market segments. Having grown up in Williamsburg, he has a tremendous knowledge of what Colonial Williamsburg is all about, so he has literally hit the ground running.”
“It is a pleasure to be at Colonial Williamsburg and representing such a fine organization,” Polansky said. “I look forward to working with many of my existing clients and developing new ones. It also is a pleasure to work among friendly and professional colleagues.”
Polansky joins the Foundation with more than 13 years’ experience in hotel sales. During his career, he has worked for many different Marriott brands, including Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inns and various full-service Marriot hotels. He most recently served at the Williamsburg Marriott where he held the positions of sales manager, senior sales manager, and director of sales and marketing.
A native of Williamsburg, Polansky graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
He and his wife, Shelly, and their two children, Peter and Abigail, live in Williamsburg.
