Guests now can make hotel reservations with one click of a mouse with new online system

With the click of a computer mouse, prospective guests for any Colonial Williamsburg hotel property now can make reservations online through iHotelier. This Internet-based central reservations system allows guests to easily navigate through room types, rates, descriptions and packages with enticing photography in a truly interactive fashion.

Guests can access the online reservation system through www.ColonialWilliamsburg.com to learn more about Colonial Williamsburg’s official hotels--the Williamsburg Inn, Colonial Houses-Historic Lodging, Williamsburg Lodge, Woodlands Hotel & Suites and Governor’s Inn. The layout of the room type, names and rates, complete with photos and descriptions, makes it easy for the guest to see what room options are available.

“Guests focus on their desired vacation experience, not just the room rate,” said Daniel J. Young, director of Business Operations and Revenue Management for Colonial Williamsburg Hospitality. “The booking screen also can be translated into the language of choice and a currency converter presents rates in their native currency. All of these things work together to make the guests feel comfortable and in control of their booking decisions. An immediate confirmation screen recaps their booking, and they receive an e-mail from the hotel with their reservation detail and hotel contact information.”

In addition, guests will be able to search vacation packages. By logging on to http://www.colonialwilliamsburg.com/visit/planYourVisit/specialPackages/, guests can review package options and click on Book Now to reserve.
