CATALOG AGE recognizes the WILLIAMSBURG® Catalog with award
The WILLIAMSBURG Catalog captured the Silver Award in CATALOG AGE magazine’s 17th annual catalog competition. The WILLIAMSBURG Catalog was recognized in the Housewares, Linens and Furniture category.
The award was announced at the 19th annual Catalog Conference and Exhibition June 12 in Chicago. The WILLIAMSBURG Catalog was among 73 finalists in 24 categories from a field of nearly 300 entries. Other winners in the Housewares, Linens and Furniture category included L.L. Bean Home: Casual Furnishings and Sure Fit Slipcovers by Mail.
“It’s very exciting for our catalog team to receive recognition from a judging panel that includes some of the most accomplished professionals in the catalog industry,” said Tammy Kersey, director of the WILLIAMSBURG Direct Marketing group. “To receive a direct marketing industry award, particularly in such a highly competitive category as Housewares, Linens and Furniture, is an honor.”
This is the third straight year that the WILLIAMSBURG Catalog has received recognition from CATALOG AGE. In 2000, it received two Gold Awards in the Housewares, Linens and Furniture and Gifts Over $75 categories, and in 2001 it captured a Silver Award in the I-Merchant Consumer Hard Goods category.
Judges for the awards examined all aspects of the catalogs’ entries with criteria for the awards ranging from creative execution to success of the program.
