Colonial Williamsburg Foundation donors have priority access to travel with us to locations near and far in the company of special hosts and expert guides as we explore the 18th century throughout the world.
On every tour you will enjoy regional cuisine, exceptional accommodations — often in historic landmark buildings — and the delightful company of fellow donors. Each tour is designed for a small group of 20 participants to allow for access to private collections.

Great English Country House Collections
May 20 – 28, 2024. Join Colonial Williamsburg hosts Ron Hurst, Chief Mission Officer and Senior Vice President, Education and Historic Resources and Tom Savage, Director of Educational Travel and Conferences, for an exploration of great English country house interiors and collections. The guest scholar for this tour is Dr. Adam Bowett, independent furniture historian and consultant on historic English furniture with public institutions and private clients in both Britain and North America. We will enjoy special out of hours visits and hospitality at great houses and collections including Burghley, Boughton and Cottesbrooke as well as houses rarely open to visitors including Radbourne Hall and Drayton House. Several very private houses must remain unadvertised. Our three hotel bases, Hartwell House, Rushton Hall, and Hambleton Hall span five centuries of architectural history and provide context for the exploration of nearby houses and collections.
