The Magazine was the military warehouse for the Colony of Virginia. In time of war, it played a pivotal role in Colonial defenses. Join the Magazine’s staff to discuss 18th-century military topics, including weapons, medicine, military tactics and strategies, the importance and meaning of flags, daily soldier life, field music, and military camp followers. During the 45-minute discussion, your hosts will paint a vivid picture of different aspects of military life. You are encouraged to bring your questions. Topics vary by day, so plan on attending more than one session during your Colonial Williamsburg visit.
The program is limited to the first 20 guests.
