Ever since the introduction of the Christmas tree to America by German immigrants in the 19th century, it has been a centerpiece at holiday dances, parties, family homes, and all manner of holiday celebrations. The first known Christmas tree in Williamsburg was at the St. George Tucker house introduced by Dr. Charles Minnigerode, a German immigrant and professor of humanities at the College of William and Mary. Join John Turner, David Gardner, and Cliff Williams for an hour of rousing dance tunes, stories, and songs of the season.
