African Baptist Meeting House Dedication

Join us in commemorating the reconstruction and dedication of the African Baptist Meeting House and Burial Ground site at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026. Williamsburg’s First Baptist Church, the historic congregation that traces its ancestry back to this historic site and its daughter and granddaughter churches, invites the community to remember the ancestors and be part of this monumental milestone in reclaiming our shared American history.

This landmark project has been made possible through a vital partnership between the First Baptist Church’s descendant community, the Let Freedom Ring Foundation, and The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
