African Baptist Meeting House Frame Raising

The Historic First Baptist Church of Williamsburg, one of the nation's oldest African American congregations, invites the community to witness a monumental milestone in reclaiming American history. On Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 9:00AM, the timber frame for the historic African Baptist Meeting House will officially rise on its original Nassau Street soil.

The historic reconstruction is made possible through a vital partnership with the Let Freedom Ring Foundation and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
