Juneteenth Groaning Board at Shields Tavern

Celebrate Juneteenth with a special Groaning Board lunch menu at Shields Tavern from June 18–20, 11 am–2 pm.

The Groaning Board is served family-style for everyone to share and features seasonal and local ingredients. This three-course lunch is $32 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.

In recognition of Juneteenth, this special menu highlights food traditions shaped by gathering, shared meals, and the enduring contributions of African Americans to American cuisine. The entrée includes Uncle Nearest Whiskey Cherry BBQ Glazed Beef Brisket, featuring Uncle Nearest Whiskey, named in honor of Nathan “Nearest” Green, the first known African American master distiller.
