Letters From the Archives
To mark our Centennial, Colonial Williamsburg invites you to a special evening series at the Hennage Auditorium — an intimate journey through three centuries of voices, told in their own words.
Drawn from the Rockefeller Library’s rich archival collections, Letters from the Archives brings history to life through the letters, diaries and documents of the people who shaped Williamsburg — from colonial-era correspondence to reflections written just decades ago. Hear these stories read aloud by a remarkable cast of current and former Colonial Williamsburg actors, interpreters and special guests, whose talents give breath and feeling to words on a page.
As part of this special evening, guests are also invited to an after-hours viewing of Colonial Williamsburg: The First 100 Years at the Art Museums — a unique opportunity to reflect on a century of preservation and discovery.
