“Art of the Quilter” features a selection of American quilts representing 12 states. Among them are a crazy quilt from Maine made from wools and cottons by mother and daughter, Augusta and Lena Coffin. Further south comes a colorful quilt by Helen Fleenor of Tennessee that incorporates everyday imagery of rural life along with positive embroidered messages. Heading to the mid-west is a quilt likely made by an Amish woman living in Ohio in the early 20th century.
