Unusual Plants of Colonial Williamsburg
From forests to gardens, plants have shaped human history through their uses, meanings, and ecological relationships. This class will examine the ecology and natural history of several unusual plants found in Colonial Williamsburg and the broader Virginia region, including species with distinctive appearances, unusual adaptations, or unique ecological relationships. We will also explore how people during colonial times, especially those working closely with the landscape, encountered, used and interpreted these remarkable species.
Must be 18 or over to participate.
