Tuition and Scholarships

TUITION

Teachers who wish to pay their own tuition, or whose school districts wish to pay for them, should contact teacherdevelopment@cwf.org.


Week-Long Institute Sessions: $2,200
Includes: A double-occupancy room [Teachers who would like their own room pay an additional fee.], most meals, admission to all Historic Area sites and program activities, and special access to materials in the Teacher Institute portion of our Education Resource Library. (Does not include airfare.)

Three-Day Seminars: $1,250
Includes: A double-occupancy room [Teachers who would like their own room pay an additional fee.], most meals, admission to all Historic Area sites and program activities, and special access to materials in the Teacher Institute portion of our Education Resource Library. (Does not include airfare.)

  • A $750 tuition option is available for the three-day themed seminars that does not include a hotel room, breakfasts, or airfare. This option is for local teachers who wish to commute from home or select their own hotel accommodations.

SCHOLARSHIPS

PLEASE NOTE: When COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the 2020 Bob and Marion Wilson Teacher Institute of Colonial Williamsburg, the scholarship process was nearly complete. The 2020 scholarship recipients were given the option to attend in 2021. As a result, we are currently COMPLETING the remaining 2020 recruitment and are only accepting applications for 2021 from the following targeted areas:

  • California (5th-grade teachers from Los Angeles County (LACOE), Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), and San Diego County (SDCOE)
  • Illinois (Chicago Public Schools)
  • Massachusetts (Boston Public Schools)
  • New Hampshire (statewide, with preference to underserved schools and the Upper Valley region)
  • New Jersey (statewide)
  • New York (New York City Public Schools)
  • Oregon (secondary school teachers, statewide)
  • Pennsylvania (Carbon, Luzerne, and Schuylkill Counties)
  • South Carolina (Hampton District 1, Hampton District 2, Jasper, Marion, and Beaufort Counties)
  • Texas (statewide, with preference to Corpus Christie, Dallas, and Houston)
  • Vermont (statewide, with preference to White River Junction area and underserved schools)
  • Virginia (statewide, with preference given to Fairfax County Public Schools and Tidewater Virginia)
