Participation constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. The Williamsburg Inn Getaway Sweepstakes (the “Promotion”) begins at 12:00 a.m., Eastern Time (“ET”) May 7, 2023, and ends at 11:59 p.m. (“ET”) on June 23, 2023 ("Sweepstakes Period"). Sweepstakes is sponsored by The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, 301 First St., Williamsburg, VA, 23185 (the "Sponsor").
ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to any legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who has attained the age of majority in his or her state at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor and their immediate family members and household and those of any corporate affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies of the Sponsor, and any other entities directly associated with this Sweepstakes (together the “Released Parties”) are also not eligible to participate. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
How to Enter: Eligible Participants can enter the sweepstakes during the Promotional Period by: 1) Completing and mailing a printed survey entry form that they received by mail to: Colonial Williamsburg Foundation “Williamsburg Inn Getaway” Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 1776, Williamsburg, VA, 23185. All mailed entries must be postmarked by June 23, 2023 and received by June 28, 2023. No photocopies or mechanical reproductions of entries will be permitted. 2) Visiting the Sponsor’s website at bit.ly/CWValuedDonors. Participants must then follow any links and instructions to complete and submit the online entry form.
All requested information on the entry forms must be completed in order for an entry to be eligible for the post-promotion prize drawing. LIMIT one (1) entry per household, regardless of the method of entry during the Sweepstakes Period. Enter using only an email address subscribed and registered in your name. Once submitted, an Entry cannot be deleted, canceled, or modified. In the event of a dispute as to Entries submitted by multiple individuals using the same email account, the entrant is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. All printed entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any and all entries of an entrant that submits more than the maximum permitted entries, or who Sponsor believes has attempted to tamper with, influence, or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Sweepstakes. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION: The Grand Prize winner will be selected, from among all eligible entries received, in a random drawing on or about July 5, 2023, by Alliance Sweepstakes Services (“the Administrator”), an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Potential Grand Prize winner will be notified by the email and/or telephone number that they provided on their entry form.
GRAND PRIZE: One (1) GRAND PRIZE winner will receive a two-night stay ($1,000 maximum) at the Williamsburg Inn at Colonial Williamsburg (one room, double occupancy) and dinner for two people at the Rockefeller Room ($275 maximum-selection from the five-course menu). Two length of stay Colonial Williamsburg admission tickets ($150 maximum). Blackout dates apply for Thanksgiving, Grand Illumination, Christmas and July 4th. Must be used by June 30, 2024 and has an Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of $1,425.
PRIZE CONDITIONS: If a prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to a potential winner, if potential winner cannot be reached within three (3) calendar days from the first notification attempt, or if potential winner fails to return requisite documents within the specified time period, or if a potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, then such person shall be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected for the prize at issue. All taxes, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of the winner. The winner’s entry and acceptance of the prize offered, constitutes permission (except where prohibited) for the Sponsor to use such winner’s name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice and address (city and state), in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without notice or further compensation. Names of companies other than Sponsor are used for purposes of prize description only, and such use is not intended to suggest or imply such companies’ sponsorship, endorsement, or approval of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, or this Sweepstakes. The prize is not transferable. Prize substitutions will not be allowed except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor due to Prize unavailability for any reason, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.
USE OF DATA: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about entrants online, and via entry forms in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By participating in the Sweepstakes and providing their email address, entrants hereby agree to Sponsor’s collection and use of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
TERMS & CONDITIONS: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. By entering the Sweepstakes, where permitted by law, entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders, and agents from any and all liability, loss, damage, or injuries to any person (including death) or property of any kind sustained in connection with their participation in the Sweepstakes or from their acceptance, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of the prize, or for any typographical or other error in the printing, offering, or announcement of the prize. Entrants further acknowledge that the Released Parties have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, relating to the prize, including, but not limited to, its quality or fitness for a particular purpose. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the Sweepstakes mechanics and/or implementation will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sweepstakes Administrator, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. The Administrator reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that the Administrator determines, in its sole discretion, violates these Official Rules. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited.
