Come and see what's new at the First Baptist Church archaeology site! Archaeologists have recently embarked on a project investigating the site of one of the nation's oldest African American churches. Visitors are invited to stop by and talk with experts in the field and learn about the most recent discoveries. While you visit, you'll learn about the history of this important site and the congregation of free and enslaved Africans and African Americans who worshipped here. Weather dependent.
